# Your profile

> Update your name and photo, change the password you use to sign in to the Vendor Portal, and pick a light or dark theme.

Your profile holds your name, your photo, your sign-in details, and how the portal looks. Reach it from your avatar in the sidebar footer or from the account area. Your profile page has three tabs: **Profile**, **Security**, and **Appearance**.

  This is your personal profile. It is not the same as **My Profile** in the sidebar, which is the read-only record a store keeps about you as a vendor. Only the store can change that record. See [Your vendor record](/vendor-portal/vendor-record).

## Profile

On the Profile tab you can update your name and photo. Your email is shown but cannot be changed.

  <Step title="Update your photo">
    Select **Upload photo**, or **Replace photo** if you already have one, and choose an image under 2 MB. In **Crop your photo**, drag and zoom to frame it, then select **Save photo**. To go back to your initial, select **Remove**.

    Edit the **Name** field, then select **Save changes**. Save is available once you have made a change.

  If you joined by creating a new account, your name started from your email. The Profile tab is where you set your real name.

## Security

On the Security tab you can change the password you use to sign in.

  <Step title="Enter your current password">
    Confirm the password you sign in with today.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a new password">
    Enter a new password of at least 8 characters, then type it again to confirm.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Select **Update password**.
  </Step>

## Appearance

On the Appearance tab, pick a **Theme**: **Light**, **Dark**, or **System** to match your device setting. The portal starts in light mode. Your choice is saved as soon as you pick it, and it applies on this device only.

  Your account is the same across every store you supply, so your name, photo, and password apply everywhere you sign in.
