# Templates and branding

> Write the delivery emails your store sends, set a default, and send a test before you rely on them.

Templates control the emails your store sends, so every message goes out in your own words and style. Delivery email templates live in **Settings > Templates**.

## Delivery email templates

When you fulfil an order, TokenSupply emails the buyer the link to reveal their keys. The wording of that email comes from a delivery template. Open **Settings > Templates** to manage them.

* Write as many templates as you like, for example one per product line or occasion.
* Each template can pull in details like the product and quantity, so the email reads specifically to that order.
* One template is the **default**, and it is the one every order starts from unless you choose another.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a template">
    Select **New template** at the top of the tab. In the **Create template** dialog, enter a **Template name**, choose a **Type** (**Plain text** or **HTML**), and select **Create**. The template opens so you can write the subject and body. If you have no templates yet, the empty list offers the same **New template** button.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your default">
    From a template's row menu, choose **Set as default**. Every delivery uses the default unless a different one is chosen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open one to edit or preview">
    Select a template to open it on its rendered email, where you can review and edit it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  You cannot delete the default template, because every delivery email is built from it. Set another template as the default first, then delete the old one. Orders already delivered keep the email they were sent.
</Warning>

## Notification emails

Beyond delivery, your store sends notification emails for events you have turned on in [Notifications](/guides/settings/notifications). Editing the wording of those emails, or branding them with your logo and accent color, is not available in Settings yet. Customer notifications are marked **Coming Soon** for the same reason.

<Note>
  Custom branding for your storefront and emails is a Growth plan feature. See [Plans and credits](/guides/billing/plans-and-credits).
</Note>

## Send a test

Before you rely on a template, send yourself a test so you can see exactly what a recipient receives. Open a delivery template and select **Send Test**. In the **Send Test Email** dialog, select **Send Test** again. A test is only ever sent to your own account email. You can also confirm your email setup with a test from [Email and SMTP](/guides/settings/email-smtp).
