# Store and store page

> Set your store name, logo, and default currency, and configure the public store page buyers see at your store address.

Two settings tabs shape how your store looks and reads. **Settings > General** holds your store's basics, and **Settings > Store** builds the public page customers visit at your store address.

## Store basics (General)

Open **Settings > General** to set:

* **Store logo**: your store's mark, shown in the sidebar, top bar, emails, and your public store page.
* **Business details**: your country, business type, and legal details, used for payments and invoices.
* **Store contact details**: your store name, email, and phone number.
* **Store address**: your company name and postal address.
* **Store currency**: the default currency used when displaying values across the store.
* **Order ID format**: the prefix for orders you create manually with Create Order.

Changes here apply to the whole store. At the bottom of the tab, **Manage store** is where the owner can transfer ownership or [delete the store](/guides/settings/delete-a-store).

## Your public store page

**Settings > Store** configures the page buyers see at your store address. Work through it in the order the sections appear.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the address and publish state">
    The first card, **Your store page**, shows your store page's web address under **Page URL** and whether it is live. The address comes from your store's handle, which is set when you create your store and is edited in **Settings > Domain**. If your store has no handle yet, the card reads "Set a handle in Domains to get your store page URL." Publish the page when you are ready for customers to reach it. A short checklist tells you what still needs completing before you can go live.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your store details">
    Write a **tagline** shown under your store name and a **description** telling customers what you sell and how delivery works.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add contact information">
    Fill in how customers reach you: a support email, phone, business hours, website, and support page. The support email counts toward the publish checklist.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add social links">
    Add any social networks you want in the footer. Only the ones you fill in appear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your policies">
    Add your refund policy, terms, and privacy links. A refund policy and terms are required before your page can go live.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Your store page is served from your store address by default. To change the handle, or to serve the page from your own domain instead, select **Change address or connect a domain** under the page URL. See [Connect a custom domain](/guides/settings/custom-domain).
</Note>

<Tip>
  If the publish switch is not available yet, check the readiness checklist beside it. It names what is still missing, such as your store identity or a required policy.
