# Delete a store

> Delete a store you own, restore it within 30 days if you change your mind, and understand what happens after that.

Deleting a store archives it straight away and takes it offline everywhere. You then have 30 days to restore it. Only the store owner can delete or restore a store.

<Warning>
  Deleting takes effect immediately. Your storefront, delivery portal, integrations, and the app all stop working for this store the moment you confirm, for you and for everyone on your team.
</Warning>

## Before you start

* **You must be the owner.** Admins and other teammates see **Owner-only** instead of the delete option. If you want someone else to delete the store, [transfer ownership](/guides/getting-started/team-and-roles) to them first.
* **Buyers lose access too.** Delivery links on your store stop working while the store is archived.

## Delete your store

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Manage store">
    Go to **Settings > General** and select **Manage store** at the bottom of the page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the deletion">
    Under **Delete store**, select **Delete store**. A confirmation dialog opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm twice">
    Type your store's name exactly as it appears, then type `delete my store`. You can add a reason under **Reason (optional)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Delete">
    Select **Delete store**. TokenSupply schedules the store for deletion and takes you to **Select a store**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Restore within 30 days

An archived store appears under **Archived** on the **Select a store** screen, with a countdown showing how many days are left. You cannot open it until you restore it.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find the store">
    Go to **Select a store**. The archived store is listed under **Archived** with **Deleting in** and the days remaining.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Restore it">
    Select **Restore** on the store's row, then **Restore store** to confirm.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Your store starts working again everywhere it did before: the storefront, the delivery portal, your integrations, and the app.

## After 30 days

Once the 30 days pass, you can no longer restore the store, and it no longer appears in your store list. Its data is kept rather than erased, but you cannot get back into the store yourself.

## What your vendors see

A store scheduled for deletion disappears from its vendors' Vendor Portal as soon as you delete it. If you restore the store, it comes back for them.
