# Add a product

> Create a catalog listing with a name, price, and image, then edit it and load stock against it.

A product is the listing buyers see: its name, description, price, and image. Products live in your catalog, while the actual keys and codes live in Inventory and are loaded separately. This page walks through creating a product and editing it later.

## Create a product

    In the seller app, open **Products** from the sidebar, then choose **Add product**.

  <Step title="Fill in the basics">
    Give the product a **Product name** (for example, `Steam Gift Card €50`). You can also set a **brand**, a **category**, a **product type**, and a **SKU**. Leave the SKU blank to have one generated for you.

  <Step title="Choose how keys are delivered">
    Pick a **delivery mode**. **Unique key** sends each key to one customer and then marks it used, which suits licenses, gift cards, and one-time codes. **Reusable key** sends the same key to many customers, which suits courses, templates, and evergreen invites.

  <Step title="Add a description and details">
    Write a **description** that buyers will read on your storefront. You can add **regions** where the key is valid, up to 12 **tags** to help you find the product later, and a **product link**.

  <Step title="Add images">
    In the **Media** section, drop or upload up to four images (PNG, JPG, or WEBP, up to 4 MB each). Drag to reorder them. The first image is the primary one shown on the storefront. A product with no image shows an empty picture tile wherever it is listed.

  <Step title="Set the status and save">
    Set the **status**, then choose **Save product**.

    <ul>
      <li>**Draft** hides the product from your storefront and vendor catalog.</li>
      <li>**Active** makes it visible and sellable.</li>
      <li>**Archived** hides it and stops it being sold.</li>

<Tip>
  Start a product as a **Draft** while you load stock and set pricing, then switch it to **Active** when it is ready to sell.

## Import products

To add many products at once, choose **Import** on the **Products** list and upload a CSV file. Each row needs at least a `name` and a `sku`. The dialog offers a sample file with the full set of columns.

## Edit or delete a product

Open **Products** and select the product you want to change. Open the actions menu and choose **Edit Product**. You can update any field, replace or reorder its images, and change its status, then choose **Save changes**. Saving takes you back to the product so you can confirm the change.

To remove a product, choose **Delete Product** from the same menu and confirm. This removes it from every list, including Archived, and cannot be undone. Any keys loaded against it, and any orders that reference it, may be left without a product record, so consider setting it to **Archived** instead.

## The product detail view

Selecting a product opens its detail view. At the top you see its image, status, and SKU, with four figures: **In Stock**, **Avg. Cost** (from its purchase orders), **Vendors**, and **Open Tickets**. Below that, tabs bring everything about the product together. Each tab shows a count of what it lists.

The keys themselves are not a tab. Choose **Manage Inventory** at the top of the product to open its keys page, where you can see every key and load more. See [Key details](/guides/products-inventory/key-details).
