# Plans and credits

> How TokenSupply billing works: credits are spent as you deliver, where they come from, what each plan unlocks, and how to buy more.

TokenSupply bills on credits. One credit delivers one key, so a credit is spent each time you fulfil an order and hand a key to a buyer. Billing is per store: each store has its own credit balance and its own plan.

Billing lives in two tabs of your store's **Settings**: **Plans** for your plan and credit balance, and **Billing** for buying credits, payment details, and history.

## How credits are spent

You spend credits at delivery, not when an order is placed. Delivering an order consumes one credit per delivered key. If an order delivers several keys, it uses several credits.

If your balance runs out, an order cannot be fulfilled until you top up. Load more credits, then deliver again.

  Refunding an order does not return its credits to your balance. The credits were used when the keys were delivered.

## Where credits come from

Your balance is made up of two pools, and both count toward the same total:

* **Plan credits** come from a paid plan. Each billing cycle adds your plan's allowance, and unused plan credits carry over while your plan stays active. If you cancel or downgrade, these are forfeited.
* **Bought credits** come from credit packs and your store's free starting credits. These never expire.

When you deliver, TokenSupply spends your plan credits first and your bought credits second, so you use the credits that could otherwise be forfeited before the ones that never expire.

## Free credits to start

Every new store gets a one-time grant of 30 free credits when it is created, so you can try fulfilment right away with no card. These land in the never-expire pool with your bought credits. They are not topped up again each month.

## See your balance

Open **Settings > Plans** and look at the **Credits** card. It shows your credits remaining and splits them into **From your plan** (forfeited on cancel) and **Bought** (never expire). It also shows how many credits you used this period.

For a line-by-line record of what was granted and spent, open **Credit history** on the **Billing** tab.

## Plans

Plans give you a monthly credit allowance and unlock features as you grow. The **Plan** card on the **Plans** tab shows what you are on. Select **Choose a plan** (or **Change plan** if you already pay) to compare the tiers and switch.

To cancel a paid plan, select **Cancel plan** on the **Plan** card. You are asked why you are leaving, then the plan is cancelled. Your plan credits are forfeited when the plan ends, and your bought credits stay.

## Buy more credits

When you need more credits, buy a pack. Packs are the only way to buy credits; there is no custom amount.

    Select **Continue to payment**. You are taken to a secure hosted checkout run by our payment provider, Dodo Payments. When payment is confirmed, the credits are added to your never-expire pool.

### Auto-recharge

So you never run dry mid-delivery, set up **Auto-recharge** in the **Buy credits** card. Choose the balance that triggers it, how many credits to buy, and the most you are willing to spend in a month.

## Payment details and history

The **Billing** tab also has:

* **Payment**: the card, billing email, and tax details held by our payment provider. Select **Manage billing** to update them in the provider's billing portal.
* **Billing history**: what you have paid, with your receipts.
* **Credit history**: every credit granted and spent, with the balance after each entry.
